Everything changed for me when I realized I could lead a great song and still fail to really lead the people right in front of me.
After 20+ years in the local church, I’ve learned that worship leadership is ultimately about more than music. It’s about noticing people, forming healthy teams, serving your pastor, discerning what a moment needs, and developing leaders who can carry ministry with you.
That’s what Start Leading People is about.

MY NAME IS JOSH SMITH
I'm from Auburn, MI. I’ve been married to my incredible wife Heather since 2003 and we have 3 amazing kids. I've been a local church worship leader since 2004. I love leading worship, serving in church, mentoring worship leaders and teams, as well as writing and producing worship songs.
